Regulatory framework
The WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU) requires producers of electrical and electronic equipment to finance collection and recycling via an approved producer responsibility organisation.
Procurement must ensure EEE references are correctly categorised and that producer evidence (membership, declarations) is available for audit.
