Enjeux · Supplier performance
Compare the incumbent and an alternative on the same material
In the portal, the comparison is anchored on a category (component or material): Procurement and Risk spiders side by side, with gaps per axis, or a multi-criteria grid in the Comparison phase of a sourcing project.

What it covers
Alternative supplier panels, per-axis spider scores and weighted comparison criteria, to decide between two suppliers in the same category without a subjective debate.
Same material, two sources
The competitive panel links an incumbent to alternatives (competitor, candidate) on a given component or material.
Procurement spider
Six axes: Logistics, Price, Quality, Delivery (OTIF & lead times), Innovation, Service. Scores 0–100, targets by category or criticality.
Risk spider
Compliance, Cyber, Financial, Legal, ESG, Reputation, to read risk alongside operational performance.
Sourcing comparison
In an RFI/RFP project: weighted criteria (price, technical capability, lead times, risk, CSR) and scores per candidate through to award.
Product objects in play
What the portal's data model and modules expose for comparison.

02
Spider scores
Score per axis (0–100), source (manual, rule, KPI, questionnaire, portal…).
03
Targets
Global targets, by class A/B/C, category, sub-category or criticality.
04
Sourcing criteria
Price / competitiveness, technical capability, lead times & reliability, risk, CSR commitment, with weights.
05

Amount, delivery lead time, Incoterms, negotiation rounds.
Example of a side-by-side reading
On the same material: incumbent vs. alternative, Procurement spider axes, as shown in the portal.
| Axis | Incumbent | Alternative | Gap |
|---|---|---|---|
| Logistics | 72 | 68 | −4 |
| Price | 65 | 78 | +13 |
| Quality | 81 | 74 | −7 |
| Delivery (OTIF) | 70 | 82 | +12 |
| Innovation | 58 | 61 | +3 |
| Service | 76 | 69 | −7 |
How it works
- 1
Choose the category
Anchor the comparison on the component or material, not on a supplier taken out of context.
- 2
Juxtapose incumbent and alternative
The spider shows scores and gaps (+/−) per sub-theme. Missing axes are clearly visible.
- 3
Decide or launch a sourcing project
Keep the comparison for the panel, or move to the Comparison phase of a project (weighted criteria, shortlist, award).
What you gain
- A quantified gap per axis between incumbent and alternative
- A documented dual-source or resourcing decision
- The same criteria across the whole material / component category
- A direct link to sourcing award once the project is open
