Regulatory framework

CE marking attests that the product meets applicable EU directives and regulations (LVD, EMC, machinery, toys, medical devices, etc.). It relies on an EU declaration of conformity and a technical file.

Procurement must obtain DoCs and evidence on components and sub-assemblies to build an auditable finished-product file.

What the buyer must require

Evidence needs to be verifiable, dated and tied to a specific reference. A generic statement isn't enough.

  • EU declaration of conformity (DoC) per reference.
  • List of applied directives / regulations and harmonised standards.
  • Technical evidence for critical supplied components.
  • Identification of the manufacturer / authorised representative responsible for marking.

Manage compliance over time

Suplylot aggregates DoCs and CE marking evidence at product and supplier level, and cross-checks with RoHS, GPSR or MDR depending on the finished-product scope.

  • Map applicable directives by range.
  • Require component DoCs at qualification.
  • Alert on expired DoCs or obsolete standards.
